NAROK government has disbursed medicine worth Sh10 million bought from Kenya Medical Supplies Agency. The medicine will be distributed to all public hospitals, health centres and dispensaries in the county.

During the flagging off at the county offices yesterday, Governor Samuel Tunai said they have partnered with Kemsa to supply the medicine every month.

He said they have signed an MoU with Kemsa. Tunai said the county government will ensure the medicines are distributed to the all parts of the county to benefit every resident.


"Our people should be access their basic needs. We will ensure the medicine is delivered in time," he said. The county boss said they have put measures to ensure proper storage and distribution of the high quality medicine.

Tunai said they have set aside $25 million (Sh2.2 billion) to upgrade Narok District Hospital to a teaching and referral facility.

He said the county government will rehabilitate all health centres and dispensaries at Sh1 billion and put level four hospitals in all constituencies.

"The county government will ensure that qualified and experienced doctors and nurses are employed in all the health centres," Tunai said.
